The Magicshine MJ838 is the perfect 'serious' cycle commuting light - minimal weight and easily powerful enough for any unlit road conditions.  The included headstrap and helmet mount also give the flexibility to make this light much more than just a cycle light.

Small, lightweight and versatile.  This 200 lumen light unit has three modes (flash, low, high) and can be used in many different situations.   For bike use it can be mounted on the handlebars or the included helmet mount and is an excellent light for cycle commuting.  Weighing a mere 210 grams in total (light unit and rechargable battery pack), on high setting the light is easily powerful enough to illuminate all the nasty pot-holes on country lanes and in the flashing or low mode in areas with street lighting (where a lower light level is needed), will greatly increase your visibility to other road users.

 A headstrap mounting system is included to turn this light into an adaptable hands free system - great for camping, hiking, fishing and all sorts of outdoor activities. 

This lights flexibility, lighter weight and size make it a superb 'back up' light offering easily enough light to get you home if you're in a dark off-road (mountain bike) situation.

A 'fuel guage' indicator on the rear of the light changes colour (Green, Blue, Yellow, Red) depending on the amount of charge left in the battery pack, showing red when 25% charge remains and changing to flashing red when 10% remains. 

Run time on full power is an impressive 4.5 hours!, changing to low level light increases run time to an amazing 15 hours on a single charge of the lightweight lithium-ion battery pack - and 'low' light level is still actually brighter than most commuting lights on the market !.
